Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komitmen, tahapan pemberitaan wartawan online anggota PWI Kota Bandung dalam mencegah berita hoax, serta standar kelayakan berita yang tidak terkontaminasi hoax. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori informasi organisasi Karl Weick. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam menjaga komitmennya, wartawan online anggota PWI Kota Bandung melakukan pemberitaan berdasarkan Kode Etik Jurnalistik, serta melakukan verifikasi berdasarkan Pedoman Pemberitaan Media Siber. Dalam pemberitaannya, wartawan online anggota PWI Kota Bandung melewati tiga tahapan yaitu; pra-liputan, liputan, dan pasca-liputan. Standar kelayakan berita yang tidak terkontaminasi hoax, yaitu berita yang mentaati peraturan berdasarkan Kode Etik Jurnalistik, memenuhi unsur penting dan menarik berdasarkan unsur berita, dan memenuhi unsur dasar berita berdasarkan 5W1H.

This study aims to determine the commitment, the stages of reporting carried out by online journalists from the members of PWI in Bandung, as well as news standards that are not contaminated with hoaxes. The approach in this study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The theory used in this study is Karl Weick's organization information theory. The results of this study indicate that in maintaining its commitment, online journalists from the PWI members of Bandung City conduct reports based on the Journalistic Code of Ethics, as well as carry out verification based on the Cyber ​​Media News Guidelines. In his news, online journalists from the PWI member of Bandung City passed three stages, namely; pre-coverage, coverage, and post-coverage. News eligibility standards that are not contaminated with hoaxes, namely news that complies with regulations based on the Journalistic Code of Ethics, fulfills important and interesting elements based on news elements, and fulfills the basic elements of the news based on 5W1H.
