Abstract

Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bagaimana wartawan pers mahasiswa menerapkan sikap independensi seperti menyajikan berita tanpa intervensi birokrasi, penyajikan berita yang akurat, menyajikan berita yang berimbang, dan menyajikan berita yang tidak beritikad buruk. Landasan penelitian ini berpijak pada konsep independensi yang mengacu pada kode etik jurnalistik pasal 1 mengenai independensi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kualitatif. metode tersebut dapat memberikan deskripsi, gambaran, atau lukisan secara sistematis, faktual dan akurat. Berdasarkan penelitian diperoleh simpulan bahwa wartawan pers mahasiswa menyajikan berita tanpa intervensi birokrasi, wartawan pers mahasiswa menyajikan berita yang akurat dan membuktikan keakuratannya, wartawan pers mahasiswa menyajikan berita yang berimbang dengan menjaga independensi dari objek liputan dan kebijakan redaksi dan wartawan pers mahasiswa menyajikan berita yang tidak beritikad buruk dengan menjaga kepercayaan publik dan sudut pandang berita yang diangkatnya.


 


This research reveals how students journalist apply the attitude of independence such as presenting news without bureaucratic intervention, presenting accurate news, presenting a balanced news, and presenting news that is not bad. This research was based on the concept of independence which refers to journalistic ethics code first article regarding independence. The method that used in this research were descriptive and qualitative, the method can provide description systematically, factually, and accurately with in-depth interview technique about facts, characters, and relations between phenomenon of studentpress journalist. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the student press journalists presented news without bureaucratic intervention, the student press journalists presented accurate news and prove its accuracy, the student press journalists presented balanced news by maintained the independence of the coverage object and editorial policy and the student press journalist presented a news that is not bad with maintained public trust and the point of view of the news raised.
